Do I need a college degree for admission?
No higher education or programming experience is required. Admission involves successful completion of our application, interview, and payment requirements.

Parallax students are smart, passionate individuals who are committed to putting in tremendous time and energy towards learning in a collaborative environment. They also possess strong communication skills, a keen interest in programming, and are people who bring a positive, open-minded attitude to the learning process.
What is the class schedule and time commitment?
Our iOS BootCamp is a 12-week, in-person class that meets 3 hours per day, 5 days per week.
You will spend an average of 25 hours a week completing your coursework, which can take the form of class instruction, coding challenges, readings, collaboration with programming partners, time with instructors, Q&A, and individual projects.
How much is the tuition for the BootCamp and how can I pay for it?
Full tuition for the next 12-session BootCamp is $8,950. We accept payment in full prior to the start of the camp by major credit card, check, transfer, or money order.
Are scholarships available?
We offer partial scholarships and/or payment plans for eligible students as determined by Parallax. For the Spring 2017 BootCamp, Parallax intends to award generous scholarships to the first 10, fully registered students.
What is your application process?
The application consists of completing registration application and a personal interview with Parallax. Upon acceptance by Parallax, a nonrefundable deposit of $1,000 is required to reserve a spot in the cohort for which you’ve applied.
What’s the deadline for enrolling in a cohort?
You have to be enrolled (and your tuition paid in full) the Friday before the cohort starts.
Who are your instructors?
Our instructors come from a range of backgrounds; passionate programmers who are capable and committed to teaching others. Our instructors have years of mobile and software development experience. They bring a thorough knowledge of the software development process and help our students understand what it's like to work on a professional programming team. Our teachers are committed to our students' success, and all work to enthusiastically communicate their extensive knowledge in an accessible, helpful manner.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
Yes. However, we can provide a rental of a Mac computer for an additional fee. If you bring a laptop, it must be a Mac. Windows cannot be used. We will send out instructions for setting up your development environment prior to the first class.
Will I earn a certificate?
We will present you a certificate after completion of the course. Additionally, should your current or potential employer or others require proof of completion, we will gladly provide it.
What happens if I am not able to complete the entire IOS BootCamp?
If students are not able to complete the full class for whatever reason, you will be refunded 60% of the per-session amount (meaning: your full payment ÷12 sessions x 60%) for each of the unattended sessions following your withdrawal). Alternatively, if you wish, Parallax will retain the refundable amount as a credit towards the full tuition of a later BootCamp that begins within 12 months following your withdrawal. Note: Except as stated above, no other refunds or credits are provided for any other absences.
